All of my Wyandottes have come from breeders with a greenthumb for raising magnificient birds. I do not cross my birds with other colors or breeds to enhance their genetics. I breed lots of chicks and keep the best ones and repeat that every year. I use line breeding techniques and cull for size, color, type, and disqualifications. I am a member of the APA and I actually read my standard of perfection. I strongly recommend going to shows and talking to Judges. I call many of them on a regular basis to discuss breeding issues. I do not keep single combed birds in my Wyandotte breeding program. I also cull splash birds in my BLRW breeding program. They will hatch out but I do not use them.
Blue Laced Red Wyandottes (BLRW)
All of my Blue Laced Red Wyandottes are from Bill Braden of Oklahoma. I drove up to Oklahoma to have pick up these fine birds when Bill decided to cut back due to his health. He too is a major inspiration and I am blessed to have his bloodlines.
